Year 11 Biology: Understanding the Urinary System!

Our Year 11 students dove into their study of the urinary system by examining its most essential organ — the kidney. In this session, students explored a real pig kidney, which closely resembles the human kidney and has even been used historically in transplant research.

By observing the actual organ, students gained firsthand insight into its structure and function. This hands-on experience provided a powerful and effective way to deepen their understanding beyond the textbook.
Learning biology through real specimens truly helps bring science to life!
