June 26 marks the birth anniversary of Phra Sunthorn Vohara, widely known as Sunthorn Phu — Thailand’s most celebrated poet, recognized as a master of classical Thai verse and dramatic literature. His remarkable works, such as Phra Aphai Mani, various Nirat poems, and traditional folk tales, continue to reflect the richness and beauty of the Thai language and literary arts.
In honor of his literary legacy, ACEP held a special event to celebrate Sunthorn Phu Day in conjunction with National Thai Language Day. The goal was to promote awareness and appreciation for the Thai language, poetry, and literature among students.
Activities included:
- Handwriting competitions
- A costume contest featuring characters from Thai literary classics
These activities aimed to enhance students’ Thai language skills, encourage creativity, and provide a platform for confident and meaningful self-expression — while cultivating a deeper connection with Thai cultural heritage.
We sincerely thank all teachers, staff, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support, which made the event a great success.
